. president obama is staying in d.c. to monitor the storm and help prep for any disaster relief. mitt romney is also putting a stop to his events saying it is out of sensitivity for the millions of people in sandy's path. romney did have events scheduled today in ohio but now he's telling the state not only to support the east coast during the storm but also to support the entire country by electing him as president. if we did have a romney presidency, disaster relief could be very different. during a primary debate earlier this season, romney seemed to be absolutely in favor of shutting fema down. now that we are in the middle of a natural disaster, he says no. he wouldn't shut it down. he would just send more power to the states. fema is already bracing for relief efforts once hurricane sandy clears out. more than 1500 staff are positioned along the east coast to help with search and rescue and logistical support. thankfully for those on the east coast, fema has nearly $8 billion available for disaster relief. but duri

to be cynical, but that is probably worth cup hundred million. as a governor why not say what you got to say? in end, it's probably a wash. true that president obama acts presidential but that is what people expect in a disaster. he won't have time to screw it up. i don't think it's a negative. on the other hand, romney is in places he gets to pack caned food and -- canned food and looks as he cares. he does behe plays in the scenario type for channeler and the president. wash on that. it takes libya off the front page but then again it wasn't on the front pages in the first place. the main stream media who spent hundreds and hundreds of articles on the supposed outing of a c.i.a. agent in the bush administration, ensconced in washington and never in danger. epidemic of incuriosity about murder of an ambassador. so that is also a wash. lastly, will it disrupt early voting? which is what the obama administration wanted? states like virginia or ohio? there is no storms in northeastern ohio, democratic country, as was indicated earlier, virginia, it hitsteamic area and republican arizona. it's
enthusiasm, ever since that first debate in early october. when 80 million americans got to see governor romney stand toe to toe with barack obama without a net and really without the filter of the liberal media and they saw his economic plan, they heard him articulate his path for energy independence for america, and they saw barack obama for the first time in months without a teleprompter. and they realized the emporer really has no clothes. so, we have great enthusiasm in virginia right now. charles: i think you'll like that. we'll leave it right there, okay? pete snyder, thank you very much. >> thanks, charles, thanks, liz. charles: mitt romney by 5 points, that's the prediction from the battle ground poll. romney 52, president obama 47. now, it's a little different than most polls, it does straighten polling, but the adjustments for the numbers variables, how many define-- definitive voters are going to be out there. it's one of the the polls, guys, a lot of people think it's bipartisan, in order not skewed either way. >> affiliated with george washington university, politico.com. c
